Print help
Printing your indoor adventures
A few quick steps help your activity pages print clearly, with nothing cut off.
Step by step
- Open the downloaded PDF in a PDF reader.
- Select only the pages you want to print.
- Choose the paper size that matches the paper in your printer (A4 or US Letter), check the orientation and look at the preview.
- In Adobe Acrobat or Reader, choose Size > Fit for ordinary activity pages to avoid clipped edges. This scales the page to fit your paper.
- If an activity says it needs exact dimensions, choose Actual Size instead and check the preview for cropping.
- Print one page first and check the text, lines and edges before printing the rest.
Saving colour ink
For activities that don't rely on colour, try Print in Grayscale in Acrobat and check that clues and pictures stay clear. Grayscale doesn't guarantee your printer will use black ink only.
Printer menus differ, so check your printer model's instructions. Normal quality is a good starting point for plain paper; lighter draft or economy output can make outlines harder to see.
If something looks wrong
- Edges cut off: make sure the paper size matches your paper, choose Fit and check the preview.
- Faint lines: switch from draft or economy to Normal quality.
Every printer and reader is a little different, so these tips may need small adjustments for yours.
